Alison’s beautiful creations

At a recent craft group I looked at these cards that Alison had created and loved them! Photos never do justice to the real thing but I am so pleased that Alison has allowed me to share these. Thank You Alison. I am sure there are plenty of ideas to inspire the creative bug for 2015.

One of my customers purchased the High Heel Glam die by Tattered Lace and then sent me four shoes that she had cut from silver foil cardstock. I just had to play!! I will put the list of the products used at the end of this post.

Tattered Lace die – Ornamental Rose

This new die is simply gorgeous. I keep imagining all the different ways it could be used. Just as  a start, here are a few cards. They are so simple and yet it is easy to get an elegant creation from this die.

Rose Pavilion and Ornamental Die with Whimsy Stamp Notables 3 Die

Black goes with almost anything. Yellow is not a colour I use often but this combination of embossing folder, dies and ribbon work well on this yellow background.

A Family Portrait

I feel so blessed because I have hundreds of family photos – current and heritage. It is a bit of a family thing. Where ever you go you take your camera and I am so glad that my ancestors felt the same and passed this love of the photo down through the generations. I love this photo of my great grandfather and his family. Sadly his wife shown in the picture died just a short time after this. I wondered if they had this photo taken just after their other daughter had died to make sure they had a photo for the future. When this portrait was taken  Margaret (mother) would already have had TB.

From my personal stash:

Cream 6mm satin ribbon, Vellum Family sayings, Cameo button

I sprayed the journaling with cold tea and left it to dry.

I could have matted this photo but felt that it was already framed by the beautiful DCWV background paper.
