Some more ideas with the Transparent Peel Offs and other Christmas Card ideas.

For most of these cards I have used the Transparent Peel Offs and coloured them in with the Dufex pens. In order to do this and get an all over finish I have stuck the Peel Offs on to Acetate first, coloured them in and then trimmed them or in the case of the Lantern further down, cut an opening in the card and then cut the acetate slightly bigger to fix to the inside of the card. On this first card I have also coloured the Seasons Greetings with the Red Dufex Pen. All the products I used from my store are listed below.

Small Ornaments using the Dufex Pens

Christmas Bells 1

Christmas Bells 2

Church Window with Bells

Christmas Lantern

Large Ornaments on Holographic Mirri Board

Foiled Acetate Tree with small Ornament

Hobby House Christmas Elves Topper

All Peel Offs can quickly be found by looking under the category list on the left of the Home page – go to Embellishments – then Stickers and Peel Offs

I have listed individually though the ones I used for these cards.

The final card was made using the Hobby House Card Topper – Christmas Elves

More Christmas Card Ideas

Simple is good! I like to make cards that don’t take a whole heap of time and therefore I am always on the look out for card ideas that still look like they might be complicated and have taken some time but in fact can be put together fairly quickly. I just checked my Christmas card list and did a bit of a gulp as there are 100 cards needed this year. Help!!

I like to have a play with the new products and his past weekend was no exception using up some of the products I had previously opened but not completed and trying out some new ones.

I love the card toppers available. So quick and easy to put on to a card and your card is halfway finished before you even start.

Some ideas.

Peace on Earth Card Topper

Same card standing

I used:

A5 sheet Blue Foil – around the card topper and under the sentiments and corners (Also used navy cardstock to double mat the topper)

I used the new Peel Off Transparent Border for the greeting – whatever colour foil or card stock you put behind will show through.
The Peace on Earth Card Toppers – SORRY NOW SOLD OUT – MAYBE AVAILABLE 2013
and some Gold corners laid over the same blue foil
I could add more embellishments to the front of the card but why……….simple is good!

Peace on Earth Card Topper

I have used the same Card Topper as above – Peace on Earth.  The background paper is from the same pack as is the sentiment.

Peace on Earth Dove

I made this Centre Step Card using one of the card blank sheets from the Peace on Earth Card Toppers above. The pack comes with various small Toppers as shown but also has 2 card blanks which you can use to either make a card or cut and use as background. One particular sheet has two A5 size designs with a dove on it. As our postage for large cards gets rather expensive  I decided to cut out the dove from one on the pieces and place on the front of the card. The village scene at the bottom was also on the same sheet and I just trimmed around that and inked the edges. The scene is Double sided taped along the bottom edge but I also used a few foam squares to add dimension along the top. I put 3 layers on doubled sided foam tape on the back of the dove to really pop this out from the card. The backing sheet behind the dove is also from that same pack.
The border down the side is:
Transparent Glittered Silver Border (comes in gold as well)
The card base is:
I am happy to sell these sheets individually if you would like just a few – contact me if you prefer that. The card is the exact size to make the centre step card.

Holographic Tree

An embossing folder, some holographic board, a tree die cut or one of your other Christmas dies, a few pearls and Peel Offs for embellishing and you are done. Too simple!
I used:
Holographic Board
 Peel Offs

Embossing Folder (the one I used was from my own stash – not on the store)

Christmas Time Card Topper

 I used:

 Christmas Time Card Topper

Peel Off coloured with Dufex Brush Pens (found with the Peel Offs)

Embossing Folder – Swiss Dots

White A5 Card

A Christmas Button, green chalk inks for edginging and some scrap red card for the ribbon.

Christmas Time Card Toppers

Red Bling
Christmas Glittered Florish – Red and Silver available

Poinsettia Christmas Card

I used:

I am sure you will be able to take these ideas and adapt them to fit with your own supplies of cardstock, card toppers and embellishments.

Cards from Lynette

Lynette has used some of our new embossing folders to create these lovely cards. After looking at the Couture Creations web site she used some ideas gleaned from there and adapted the ideas and thought of other uses to create her own unique cards. Lynette used various cardstock mediums – foil, plain white cardstock, DCWV metalic carstock, vellum. With many of the embossing folders it takes very little in the way of additional embellishments to get a stunning card.  A quick and easy way to make elegant and fresh looking cards.

Enjoy looking at her lovely creations.

Stella’s Cards

I just wanted to show you some cards ideas that were made by Stella at a Craft Group I attended yesterday. She has used various elements from the products on our website. I apologise for the bad photography but she had these packaged for sale and so I didn’t want to remove them from the cellophane bags, hence the reflections etc.

Using the Festive Ornaments Topper, Sentiments and some Peel Offs.

The Festive Ornaments are also available in Ivory. I just haven’t  had a chance to list them yet. Let me know if you are in a hurry to see these listed on the store.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these as much as I did when I saw them. It is great to see how someone else uses the same embellishments as you have, in quite a different way. Thank you Stella!

Cards made from the one Bear Hugs Topper

I was able to create all of these cards from the one packet. The red tarten backing comes as a seperate A4 sheet in the packet. I still have mini bear pictures to use on Christmas Tags.

Click on the picture if you want a larger view.

Bear Hugs Topper Card Ideas

Two of these cards are the double fold card idea shown below or also found quickly in the Tutorial category. The white background one is of the new embossed Square card from our range of products.

A variation on the Double Fold Card

I have used the Bear Hugs Topper to make this card. You will find instructions in the tutorial section of the BLOG  (or scroll down) showing other examples. The only difference – I varied the size and made a circle for the second fold. You can click on the picture for a close up view.

Turn this …….

Angels over Bethlehem Topper

Into this…………

Angels over Bethlehem cards

and I have even used a frame from one of the Topper punch out areas to make an additional card.  I have used some of the new Embossed cards, the Angels over Bethlehem Topper and also some Ornaments off the Festive Ornaments Topper for the fifth card. The red backing on two of the cards comes in the pack. There is enough to back four cards.
