Rosa Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug

This Anna Griffin Design Embossing Folder is just beautiful. Embosses really well and is great for enhancing with chalk or inks.

Rosa 1

Rosa 1

Just a little ribbon and a bow and you have a simple yet elegant card. I wish you could see the beautiful shimmer from the ink and doesn`t it make the rose design pop!

Rosa 2

I wanted to try the design on the vellum and it works so well. You could take it a step further and chalk it on the back. Any number of sentiments could be added to this, along with some additional bling or a bow.

The little studs come from a ribbon trim set – see below. I just cut them off and glued them on with the zig pen. Holds well! So simple.

Add a different die – Hiigh Heel Glam,  which this time I embossed with silver embossing powder over a silver foil to give it greater depth.

Love these card toppers and they can be used in so many different ways.

I have used Chromatics cardstock here and this blue is quite stunning. It really doesn`t need much more when using such an elegant embossing folder.

This really was a trial run and I am still making up my mind if I like it or not. Pink and silver do go beautifully together though don`t they!

June Card Kits

These are the first of hopefully many card kits offered through my Online Store and BLOG.

The first kit is using the Faerie Poppet 3D Decoupage set that I originally used on my Surprise Pop Up Card – only 2 of the original 3D  available. The second kit is a Faerie Poppet 3D kit also.  These decoupage pictures are extremely easy to put together. They are laser cut and just require pushing out to break the few tabs. You can shape the pieces if you wish but I don’t usually bother. They take about 5 minutes  – just add some foam squares, layer up and they are all done!! So simple.

You can view the contents of the kit by watching the video below.

The first two kits will be $12 each.

Check out the photos.

Hunkydory – Sparkling Blossom Scalloped Card Kit

This new Decoupage Card Kit has just been released here in Christchurch and it is beautiful! There are others that I will show over the next few days.

I have opened this kit to show you what is contained in it and will make up the cards to showcase the kit. As you can see from the leaflet there is everything in this kit to make 6 complete, unique cards.  If you choose, you do not need to use all the decoupage layers of flowers etc. and the remaining ones could be used to make your pack go even further.

Click on all the photos to see a larger image.

Packaging Content Card

There is a touch of glitter on these sheets and the pictures just can`t do them justice.

There are two square card blanks in the pack

Two scalloped card blanks

Scalloped card blank 1

Scalloped card blank 2

and two swing cards

Swing Card Blank 1 before folding

as you can see the fold lines are already there.

Swing Card Blank 2 - folded ready for decorating

The pack also has 6 square envelopes appropriate to the size of the card blanks.
I will complete the cards over the weekend and add them to this BLOG post.
Please excuse the wonky photos. When I get mobile again I will photoshop the pictures properly but I just couldn`t wait to show these to you.
Ok – so I didn`t get all the cards made up yet. Things are happening in small stages but at least here are a few for you to see. I have done these very simply with just a few additional bits of bling, ribbon etc. Of course you can add heaps more or use the various punch outs on whichever card you like. Once completing the 6 card blanks that are in the pack there are still other pieces to use on other cards – more than I thought there would be!
So…………Card 1
Swing card

Swing Card 1

Ribbon on this one and you can write the message on the inside of the card.
Card 2

Square Card 1

Ribbon and pearls on this one. You can lay the circle over the scalloped card to get the two layer effect but I chose not to.
Card 3

Square Card 2

Ribbon only and I popped up the oval frame with foam squares.
I`ll keep adding as I complete the others.
I promised ages ago that I would  make up more of the cards in this pack and put them up here.
So here we go……….

Scalloped card with vellum sentiment and popped up rose oval

Another scalloped card with a large daisy attached to the front.

The other swing card in the pack - I've added a small paper doilie to the back of the scalloped punch out.

So those are the cards I made up using the card blanks in the pack and then………….
I made

An easel card - the scallop floral and the lace stand are punch outs in the pack. The butterfly is a white paper butterfly you can colour with an ink pad or other colouring and glitter items and I will be listing them on the store soon for just 12c each.

Just a normal style card using the hydrangea decoupage pieces in the pack.

and I still have pieces left. Enough to make 3 more cards and maybe one day they also will be added here.
Still to create with.

I can see a tri-fold card in that lot and maybe a different style easel card. You can see I also cut the strips from the sides of the punch out card sheets. I use these as ribbon etc.
My estimation is 11 cards from one pack for $18. That’s not bad!!

Embossed Cards

These beautiful cards made using the Fynmark embossed card range were sent in by Debbie. I love the colours that she has used on the cards and the way the words have been picked out and inked to highlight the special message. Stamping the envelope to match is a great idea as well.

Happy Birthday embossed card by Debbie

Debbie has picked out the words again on this card and then gone that bit extra and added a masked flourish. Oh I wouldn`t have thought to have done that, but it looks great and an idea I will use. The flourish on the envelope just ties it all together and that flower, just lovely.

New Fynmark Paper stacks Coming this week.

Just thought you would like to know the news. Fynmark have a new range –  Paper stacks. Here in NZ we have ordered  the 12 x 12 stacks and the card making size stacks and they are great value.

The card making stacks will be $9.90 and the 12 x 12 $27.50. The first two designs in each size we have ordered are:  The Oriental Chic stacks and Wedding stacks.

Oriental Chic Stacks

Wedding Stacks

Sneek Peek inside Wedding Stacks

Before seeing these stacks I was wondering how versatile the Oriental Chic would be in the NZ market but as you can see the pages are colourful and will be able to be used for any number of creative themes. It’s funny how you have preconceived ideas about how you think a product will look before you get to see it.  After seeing them I can’t wait to get my own supply.
Ok so any of my friends or family reading this will laugh because I have an over abundance of papers but………….these designs are super cool and………I am starting to use up some of my massive supplies of papers. Mmmm a little dent anyway!
I also went on to the Fynmark BLOG and looked at what others have created with these stacks. You might want to check some of the creations out at:
I know I get so many ideas after looking at how people use some of our products.
So, by later this week my order will arrive and the stacks will be added to our store and I will put the link here and also on our Facebook page .

Karyn’s Card

I just wanted to share this lovely card idea with you. Karyn has used some flowers that she purchased from me – not yet on our site in the green/orange tones. She wasn’t sure which DCWV paper she used as a backing but I think it is from the Blossoms and Butterflies stack. Karyn usually does scrapbooking and her pages are amazing. She was hesitating to send this through but I am so glad she did. I hope you are too!

Home Sweet Home
Thanks Karyn for sharing that with us.

Stella’s Cards

I just wanted to show you some cards ideas that were made by Stella at a Craft Group I attended yesterday. She has used various elements from the products on our website. I apologise for the bad photography but she had these packaged for sale and so I didn’t want to remove them from the cellophane bags, hence the reflections etc.

Using the Festive Ornaments Topper, Sentiments and some Peel Offs.

The Festive Ornaments are also available in Ivory. I just haven’t  had a chance to list them yet. Let me know if you are in a hurry to see these listed on the store.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these as much as I did when I saw them. It is great to see how someone else uses the same embellishments as you have, in quite a different way. Thank you Stella!
